Yup, it's as easy as that! Once you have reached out, I will be in touch with you directly to discuss how I can help you plan your elopement day. We will schedule a Discovery Call where we will discuss dates, the experience you want and determine a location that will best suit your needs and your travel plans. I have so many local hidden gems that I can't wait to share with you! I love these calls because getting to chat ahead of time is such a great way to connect and helps me serve you the very best I can! WE GET THE DETAILS SORTED
Choosing the right location for your Vancouver Island photoshoot is super-duper important to me! That is why I put hours of location scouting and planning into each and every session, in order to create your unique Vancouver Island elopement experience! In fact, you'll get a curated location guide with example photos from locations I think will be perfect just for you! We'll also talk about activities you might want to bring into your day. Think long walks on the beach, sunset picnics, kayaking or sailing cruises, whale watching, heli-tours...literally the sky is the limit! So know that you are hiring a Vancouver Island photographer and travel planner who is completely invested in you and your day.
We get you booked and on the calendar
After you have decided on the date and the location, you are on the calendar. Yay! This is the point where I get super excited to meet you! To confirm your booking, you will be asked to sign your photography contract, and pay a non-refundable booking retainer. I will help you every step of the way to ensure everything goes smoothly. But, the next part is the BEST part...

What if we want an outdoor adventure for our elopement (hiking, kayaking, etc)?
I am ready to capture any Vancouver Island Elopement adventure you can throw at me! You’ll receive contact information and coordination assistance with trusted local charter companies for activities like sailboat cruises, kayak adventures and helicopter tours. Adventures are my jam! I'll get on a kayak or sailboat, hike a mountain, hop on a helicopter, get down in the mud or knee deep in the ocean to get those photos you will frame on your wall or show your grandkids one day. Have an idea? I can't wait to hear it!
We want to include our dog into the elopement ceremony and photos, is that okay?
Absolutely! Fur babies welcome!
WE KNOW WE WANT TO ELOPE, BUT WE AREN’T SURE WHERE. CAN YOU HELP US FIND A PLACE?
Absolutely! One of my favorite things to do is to help couples find their dream location for their special day. From Sooke to Port Hardy, I'll help you find that perfect spot for you to say, “I do,” with your soulmate. We’ll work together to turn your dream vision into a reality.
Do we need a wedding officiant for our elopement? If yes, can you recommend one?
It's up to you! You can choose to have a Commitment Ceremony which is a very real ceremony where you commit your lives to eachother by saying your vows and exchanging rings but is not legally binding. It can be performed by a friend or family member or just the two of you.
Or, you can arrange to have a wedding officiant join you to make it official. A list of officiants I have worked with in the past will be provided for you.
Will you help us find other local vendors to work with?
Yes! Sometimes it takes a talented team to fully bring your day to life. My vendor lists are pre-vetted to ensure you an LGBTQ+ positive and friendly space. From hair & make-up artists and florists to stationary experts and masters of the charcuterie board, we can create a beautiful day for you with every detail taken care of. Because the details matter!
We've never been to Vancouver Island before. Can you help us plan our stay beyond just the elopement?
Yes, I've got you covered! You'll receive a PDF copy of my Visitor's Guide to Vancouver Island with over 50 pages of information to help you plan your stay and extra time spent exploring the island together. Includes information on how to get here, regions to visit, places to stay, over 50 hikes categorized by region and type, 30 beaches covering both the east coast and the west coast, outdoor activities, tours and excursions and 4 handcrafted tried and true itineraries to suit different travel styles.
What happens if it Rains?
If there is one thing you can count on in the Pacific Northwest, it is a chance of rain! Moody skies and rain soaked moss and ferns only add to the memories though, right! Like the locals around here, if it is raining we still go outside and play. I have a set of clear umbrellas that are perfect for keeping the rain off of your wedding attire, but still let your smiling faces show through. If it is a major storm that is unsafe to be in, then we will discuss options for rescheduling.
How long does it take to receive the photos after the elopement and how will those be delivered?
Firstly, I'll send you a handful of sneak peek shots a couple of days after your wedding. Less than 8 weeks later, you'll receive a link to your online gallery to relive your wedding day. Your gallery is slide-show ready and full of your downloadable image files.

You're worried it's going to be weird and maybe you're even camera shy? I totally get it! But, do not stress - I've got you!
I want you to know that I pride myself on making sure you are as comfortable and confident as you can be before, during and after your time with me. From the moment you book me, I will be with you every step of the way. This starts with a Discovery Call where we can get to know each other a bit and you can ask me anything and everything! Tell me your worries, and I will talk you through the solutions. You're session should be fun and stress free. I want you to have an amazing time with the people you love! So let's not worry about getting the "perfect" photo. What even is that!? Instead, let's cut loose, embrace the moment, laugh, cry, cringe or break out your best dance moves...just be your true authentic self. I'll do the same!
And don't worry, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve to help you feel at ease. Trust me, your photoshoot is going to be awesome!
